Meet Chima. Chima’s a free runner and the subject of the painting in the background called ‘Cheema Cheema, Chima Chima’ by the amazing talent that is Cosmo Sarson. The piece is based on a photo taken during the 1981 Brixton Riots and shows Chima leaping onto police riot-shields. Well, Chima offered his support by coming down to TB&TC and we wanted to share these photos taken by Jon Cartwright with you. The man has skills!

Don’t Try This at Home
Thursday, May 20th, 2010Stop Press!
Monday, May 17th, 2010While we have been taking a few days off to regroup after TB&TC, it appears the artists’ work has caught people’s attention and made some headlines. This is a piece from Brighton’s daily newspaper, The Argus (page 5 no less- here Remi/Rough is pictured in front of his wall). Huge thanks to Fay MacDonald of Diosa Media for all her help to land TB&TC this year and for contacting the media post show.
A big shout out to RJ Rushmore of Vandalog for posting TB&TC on his blog last week. RJ is one of those tireless guys who is in it for the love of public art. Keep up the good fight! Click HERE to see the piece.
Wet Paint Strikes Again
Thursday, May 6th, 2010The last wall of the day to be given a facelift was in Buckingham Street near Brighton Station. This spot will be painted by Blam, Smug One (down from Glasgow) and Estum, and it’s going to be a killer. All of these artists have serious kills and we can’t wait to show you the finished piece. Of course, you could always make it down to Brighton to see it going up for yourselves. Here is the LOCATION. And if it rains or you get a little thirsty there’s The Eddy pub directly opposite. TB&TC reaches the parts other paint jams cannot reach!
Praise Be!
Saturday, April 24th, 2010After a week of flight failures bookended by a Gumball Ralley drive to Munich and back, we’re pleased to announce that TB&TC have returned to Brighton. Before we left, Friday 14th saw us present to the Brighton & Hove Business Lunch Club organized and hosted by Tim Cobb of Cobb PR, who we owe a huge thanks to. Given the charity lunch time spot, we presented to Brighton businesses the value of street art and the benefit TB&TC is offering our charity of choice, Shelter. Hutch gave a masterclass in stenciling, painting before the group and then offered this piece up for auction. TB&TC would like to thank all the companies present for their contributions and raising a total of £575 for Shelter. Our thanks goes out to Hutch and also to the winner who then presented the artwork up for sale again to raise extra funds for our charity. So this piece entitled Jesus Bomber is up for grabs to the first buyer over 8/9 May.
Don and Trans 1
Sunday, March 28th, 2010This amazing piece from the legends that are Don and Trans 1 was posted on Vandalog just a few days ago. Trans featured in a recent film we posted to promote this year’s event but both will be getting up in Brighton over the TB&TC weekend. We’re not sure what they have planned for you yet but whatever it is, this proves it’s going to be fresh!
