Important update – street art meet up cancelled

Friday, January 18th, 2013

Saturday 19th January session cancelled due to bad weather

Regrettably we’ve decided not to go ahead with our first session of the Sussex Police street art project tomorrow due to the snow. We will incorporate the introduction to the project in the next session – the workshop – which will still go ahead as planned on Saturday 26th January at Brighton Youth Centre.

Any questions, please get in touch!

TB&TC owe a huge debt of thanks to West Sussex building contractor Cheesmur, for donating the materials to build the ‘Paint Box’ installation – an 8ft x 24 ft squared wood and metal structure – for some of our artists to go at. As our central showcase installation, this will be built and housed in Jubilee Square in central Brighton over the weekend of 8/9 May. Just two of the artists you will be able to see painting this will be Pinky and Matt Sewell and as they know each other’s styles inside out, whatever they have planned we know it’s going to be fresh. Director of Cheesmur Steve Hayman, said: “As a Brighton-based contractor we are keen to support the local community and are delighted to be able to support Shelter, which offers a positive alignment with our housing work and projects.” TB&TC can’t thank Cheesmur enough and anyone wanting to watch some amazing talent at work should make make it to this LOCATION from 11 AM onwards on both days. See you there!
